Every time we visit our neighborhood beach, I can't even believe we live here. It's calm and shallow and just perfect for kids. We seem to enjoy it the most in the spring and fall, before the crowds arrive. We had it to ourselves this week and it took every bit of self-control for the boys not to go swimming. The air may feel like June, but the water is most definitely still March. It was our first dinner picnic of the year.
