First Frosty Treat opened. Then the crocuses bloomed, the robins arrived and the grass is growing. We had our first blizzards of the season and the garden store in town opens tomorrow. Lunch on the deck yesterday. Playing outside in just t-shirts and the windows open to let in the fresh air. We are all so excited to see it: spring!
It's hard for us to believe that we'll be on our way to California by the next season and I'm sad to think of all the wonderful summertime fun we'll miss here in this beautiful, quiet corner of New England. A couple of weeks ago it was an overdue visit to the USS Nautilus, a sub, which the boys found fascinating. This past weekend, it was the O'Niantic - an annual St. Patty's Day road race in our town. The boys we're so excited to participate again, and really, they had a fabulous time running their 1/2 mile race.
