my sewing machine is sad

Usually at this time of year, it's busy as a bee, piecing together all of my gifts. But, this year I decided to take a step back from the usual and simply not make as much. The boys have so many ideas, except for Xavier's stocking, I've dedicated all of my creative time to helping them with their Christmas projects. And we've been busy! I can't post the photos, because I don't want to ruin any Christmas surprises, but I love how we can create more and more together as they grow older.

As I dream about my post-Christmas non-red and green crafts, I browse the projects my friends are working on. One site I love is my friend Jennifer's. Her style rocks and she has mad sewing skills. When I was trying to get my butt in gear and start this blog, I turned to her for inspiration. Her blog is part family, part crafts and all super awesome photography. She helped me unlock the finer secrets of blogger and even made personal pdfs for me when I couldn't figure out how to enter my own code. What a gal!!!

Check out her work and leave her a comment: http://parrishplatz.blogspot.com/

That's right, she made a felt roller skate. Awesome.

THANK YOU JENNIFER!!! Frohliche Weihnachten!
