Every time the new year approaches, I skim through my photos from the year and get a little sad when I realize how much my babies have grown in just one year.
But, I marvel at how much we've all experienced too.
2010 seemed especially memorable, considering we didn't even move or buy or sell a house. There were many other milestones to keep us busy. Finnian learned to read and gave up his thumb. Isaac started to use the potty and graduated to a big boy bed. The older boys now share bunk beds in their own room. We welcomed Xavier to the world. After an anxious and challenging pregnancy, we are especially thankful for his good health.
We vacationed in Florida and Maine with little trips to San Diego, Seattle, Charleston and Colorado. Mo sailed around New England again and achieved many running goals, most notably, running a mile in under 5 minutes. I co-authored my first book (although it's not on amazon, so I don't think it really counts!) and had several other rewarding writing and editing projects.
We spent countless hours enjoying our beautiful corner of the world - at the beach, in the woods and just playing in our sandbox and with our sidewalk chalk.
We all ate our weight in ice cream this summer.
We are thankful for all of the family and friends who journey with us, sharing life's bounty.
We are blessed. We know it. 2010 was a good year.

Love you all! Thank you for including a visit to Colorado this year. Happy New Year, can't wait to see what goodness 2011 holds for the Murphy family. Love.
