One of my favorite holiday gifts to make each year is a mix tape of sorts. About ten(!) years ago, my sisters and I began swapping CDs of favorite songs each Christmas. The little tradition has evolved and now I make a mix for the kids in our lives. I like to choose the songs my boys requested over and over throughout the year. This year was heavy on Elizabeth Mitchell because we just discovered her and everyone - big and little alike - enjoys her music. You know how nice that is.
Just wish I could (easily) attach a video, because we groove in our house. As you hum these tunes, just imagine Isaac running around in a circle, playing the imaginary trombone, Finnian breakdancing with legs kicking wildly and me dreaming of joining a flash mob while alternately spinning each child. Xavier perches in the couch corner, watching and wondering why he joined this crazy family.
