After Finnian got home from school we made ornaments and decorated the tree. I still have to sew a little skirt for it, but it looks pretty cute and kid in the big boy room. Check it:

23 days 'till Christmas?
That's so long! That's what Finnian said this morning as he changed his calendar. We are in full Christmas mode here. The boys want every spare minute to be spent doing "fun Christmas stuff." I obliged Isaac yesterday and turned a diapers and dog food Target run into a top secret Christmas mission. We bought lights for the outside of our house... then, because it was raining and crappy out, hung them up in the living room. Instant Christmas! (We'll, well, Mo, will move them outside this weekend.) Target also had these cute little colored trees and I told Isaac he could pick one for the big boy room. Having a little tree upstairs was always a Christmas highlight for Lindsey and I. So he picked blue, "because we are boys!"

Yes! Setting up our own little Christmas tree was one of my favorite holiday rituals. I'm so glad that the boys can have that- and a blue tree, my favorite color!
