Because when one of their boxes arrives at our house, someone is smiling (most often, it's me!).
This time, it was Finnian. He's been working so hard to quit sucking his thumb, so we bribed him with a "real, electric" train when he kicked the habit. After months of cutting down, we have been 100% thumb-free for 10 days now. You have no idea what a big deal this is!
Anyway, the train arrived Monday.
Mo and Finnian spent most of the holiday weekend building a train table to house his new model train. The rest of us had the sick, so it was a perfect activity for the healthy ones.
Opening the box for Finnian was like giving an adult thousands of dollars
or a prepaid Hawaiian vacation.
After inspecting all the parts and picking our favorite cars,
it was time for a test run on the kitchen table.
We have one very, very happy engineer. And, this gift was much less painful
and way cheaper than orthodontia. A win, win, I'd say.
