For some reason, when I uploaded these photos, they appeared all out of order and instead of annoyingly reorganizing them, I'm just going to leave them as is: a hodge podge of our life from the last three weeks or so.
Initially it was sad to miss the December activities that became part of our Christmas tradition in Connecticut. I found it harder to get in the Christmas spirit without the light parade, chilly tree lighting, North Pole Express, etc. But, we found some new Christmas activities to enjoy and as Finnian said yesterday, "San Diego is my favorite place I've ever lived."
So yes, I think a good Christmas season was had by all. Here were the ingredients to ours:
Plenty of sugar
Special aprons for baking
Mini gingerbread houses so every boy could have their own
A wonderful Christmas program, highly anticipated by that cutie in the red pants
More sugar
A Christmas Eve visit to the model railroad museum with special LEGO display
Walks on the beach
Family photos
A great visit with Grandpa
Losing that other front tooth on Christmas Eve, which meant the tooth fairy AND santa visited the same night (and every person asked F if all he wanted for Christmas was his two front teeth)
Dressing up
Playing outside (in flip flops and sweaters... so San Diego!)
Rock climbing
Riding new scooters in shorts on Christmas day
Waiting to run downstairs and see if Santa came (dressed in mama jammies)
Mastering two feet on the scooter
Visiting the beach, where slowly but surely all the clothes were wet
and underwear was the only thing left to wear
Music with Uncle Brian and Grandpa
The Nutcracker
The first sunrise of 2013
Fun times with Auntie Lindsey and Uncle Brian
And a visit to the Marine Corps aviation museum
Merry Christmas to all and a very very Happy New Year!

Isaac's red pants! Incredible family photo! So much good stuff...
