bags!

I've been sewing again, a little at least. I made the boys beach bags with a heavy duty mesh from Seattle Fabrics. Why does Seattle have the best fabric stores? I don't know, but they've got some great spots! Hopefully these bags will keep more of the sand and water at the beach when we take our treasures home. I also made a larger, grown up version, with an inside zippered pocket.

Also, I made a big, boxed corner tote for a friend moving to Atlanta. Hopefully it will be big enough for some of her three kids' stuff and cute enough for the oh-so-stylish south. When I ordered the mesh, Seattle Fabrics had a bunch of Eddie Bauer waterproof lining on discount, so I tried it out on this bag and I think it worked out just fine!
