Most anticipated day of the year? Not Christmas, not birthdays, it's TOUCH-A-TRUCK!
Literally, the boys talk about this day for months and months. One Saturday every May, our town fills the local park with every sort of vehicle imaginable. The kids get to climb into the cabs, beds, honk the horns - everything. It's a genius fundraiser that seems to get bigger every year.
Isaac is the resident truck expert in the house so it was really, really fun to watch him marvel at all of his favorites. The only disappointment was that there was no cement mixer this year. But, we got see actual firefighters get an emergency call - they lowered their ladder, put their gear away and were off to save the day. To this little boy who dreams of being a firefighter (or pilot or priest or vet), it was magical.
Isaac even met one of his heroes: Bob the Builder!
