my kids aren't big and smelly yet

However, this is our reality:

I can't imagine the laundry for larger families or families with older children... But once they're bigger, they can do it themselves! Genius.

Until that day, they contribute by helping me sort the dreaded sock pile.

And I remember with fondness that time when we used to get away with doing laundry just once a week or so. I had no idea what a treat it was then to have a living room without a mountain of clean clothes taking up a chair or two!
