back in business

My sewing machine began buzzing again this weekend and I feel a little more like myself. Sewing is my favorite selfish thing to do, and I have lots of ideas for the new year.

Not all that exciting to look at, but super functional, are my toy bags. After dealing with one too many squished boxes that a toy/puzzle/game came in, I began sewing bags to contain the bits and pieces. Not only are they hard to destroy, they take much less room to store than the boxes.

I whipped out a few tonight with some leftover fabric.
Sometimes it's so satisfying to go from thinking of a project to using it in just a couple hours.

Now our saxoflute and IKEA finger puppets have new homes:

  1. I bet you could make a killer Catan bag! Way better than the ziplocs we always seem to use...
