I'm so sad to report that my camera is not working!!! Oy! What am I going to do? I haven't felt this way since I had to get my sewing machine repaired a couple of years ago and was without it for a week mid-Halloween costume prep. Now that was scary! I've already reached for the camera several times, hoping it would just magically work again after sitting quietly for awhile, but no luck. The worst part of all? Yesterday was Finnian's birthday! So many photo ops. I did get some fuzzy photos during the day before it quit for good in the afternoon. But I have no photos of Isaac frosting cupcakes for school or all of Finnian's friends singing to him today. I guess you don't realize how much you rely on something until it's gone. It makes me realize how much I enjoy documenting life.
So while I figure out how to get it repaired, I'm going to post some old photos waiting in the queue. And maybe I'll dig out my old camera that I never quite got around to selling when I ditched it for the SLR.
Here's one event from the week. The boys' biannual visit to the dentist.
Let me tell you, they LOVE going to the dentist. They look forward to their appointments and randomly ask throughout the year when their next check-up is. Here's one reason why:
That's right; they have several trains on tracks (with character passengers no less) running throughout the exam rooms. Several rooms are train-themed with photos and Thomas paraphernalia scattered about. And... the spin brushes are animal-shaped, the hygienists sing to the kids while they clean, they have stuffed animals with big teeth to brush and floss, the dentist knows all about dinosaurs and the kids each bring home a bag of goodies. It's totally genius.
The people at this practice are at the top of my thank-you-for-making-my-life-a-little-easier list.
Oh No............ I was so looking forward to seeing the Birthday pics. Im sure it was just great fun.
ReplyDeleteSend it to Nikon and they will fix it. The turnaround is usually pretty fast. There may even be a Nikon repair near you. It happens to me a lot. You should have your sensor cleaned once a year anyway. My kids love the dentist too. It is like going to a birthday party. Balloons, treat bags, suckers... Wish I could have that much fun getting my teeth cleaned.
