the real milestones

The baby book may ask for dates of all the firsts going on around here- crawling, sitting, tri-pod position and eating finger foods. But we've hit the real milestones this week: gnawing on a dog bone, throwing toys through the baby gate and down the stairs, banging one's head on the kitchen floor and taking an inaugural dive into the dog bowl. Oh well, at least we've learned our lesson with potted plants; we've finally removed that temptation from the floor.

Also, I can't believe how much has changed in baby food products in the four short years we've been teaching littles to eat. There are far more organic choices, finger foods and travel sizes available. They even have pre-squished meals in juice boxes. That will be fun. For now, X's product of the moment is the mum-mum. It's the perfect first finger food - one big puff! They are also called rice rusks and have helped satisfy this very hungry and quickly growing child.

In other news, the book obsession continues here, with X joining in on the fun.

And, we squeezed in a little art time today too. I just had to share this masterpiece from Finnian:

It's called "I ate so many stuff that I had to go potty."
I'm so proud of him. Ha!
